Welcome James Van Avery to Tish Flooring!
We are proud to announce that James Van Avery has joined Tish Flooring as Executive Assistant/Client Care Manager. In this role James will interact with all areas of our Indianapolis flooring operations as he manages claims and takes on special projects.
With more than 20 years in the flooring industry in the Midwest, James’ deep understanding of product types, installation troubleshooting, and retail flooring operations will serve him and our Indianapolis flooring clients very well in this important position.
A native of Chicago, James began his involvement in home services early on when he and his brother-in-law managed a flooring company. He continued with leadership positions in the flooring industry, from Carpetland USA to Carpet One. Eventually James’ career path led him to Indiana and he settled in Indianapolis in order to be closer to family.
Tish Flooring’s dedication to high-level, personalized service perfectly matches James’ personality: “It’s not just crunching numbers all day. I wanted the personal interaction. Helping people achieving things they’re working towards is what I enjoy doing.” James is a natural problem-solver and feels rewarded whenever he assists a client whose service experience has fallen short of their expectations.
Away from Tish, James is an outdoorsman. As an avid golfer, you’re likely to catch him once a week at Sarah Shank golf course in Indianapolis perfecting his stroke. On the more adventurous side he has a professed love of kayaking at Turkey Run State Park. And like any sensible Chicago native he’s an avid Bulls, Cubs and Blackhawks fan, though his football allegiance belongs to the Cincinnati Bengals because of his favorite childhood player Boomer Esiason.
