Meet Tish Flooring’s Newest Project Manager: Doyce Thornton

Tish Flooring is excited to announce the arrival of our new Project Manager, Doyce Thornton, who brings decades of residential and commercial flooring experience to our team.

Originally from Flint, Michigan, Doyce has enjoyed a varied career in the flooring industry for nearly 45 years. His career took him to Panama City, Florida, where he owned and operated a flooring company and raised his family. Doyce and his wife relocated to the Indianapolis area in 2002 to be nearer to their family and to help raise his grandchildren.

What attracted Doyce to Tish Flooring was the great reputation. “Realtors use Tish as the go-to place for projects,” he says, having once been in real estate himself. As a Project Manager, Doyce is able to use his years of experience and wide product knowledge to assist customers through all steps of their projects, from estimating materials, coordinating designs, to finalizing their order and installation. “Tish is not high pressure towards customers,” he says, comparing to other retailers with which he has worked. “I like that because you can help people more comfortably and steer them in the right direction.”

When not helping people on their flooring projects at Tish, Doyce enjoys golf (though don’t ask him his handicap), and working around the house. He’s become an adopted Colts fan, and every day he looks forward to providing exceptional flooring service to the residents of Indianapolis.
