Marsala: Bring Pantone’s Color of the Year into Your Décor
In case you have been living under a rock, the Pantone Color of the Year has been announced and it’s beautiful. Marsala, Pantone 18-1438, is the Color of the Year 2015. And while we aren’t sure you should rush out and cover your home in Marsala-colored carpet, you should definitely think about accenting your home with the shade. Here’s how to incorporate Pantone’s Color of the Year into your décor.
Described by Pantone as, “a naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls.” Now that’s a color we can get on board with! It looks gorgeous with more neutral, warm palettes like beiges, cognacs and earthy browns, but it also looks nice with cooler tones like steel grays and blues.
Whether you decide to paint one wall or an entire room in the color, the dusty, brick red shade will look great for years to come. The color would look lovely in a living room, kitchen, dining room or bedroom. If you’re remodeling your kitchen, consider pairing Marsala with tiles in red-orange tones.
